Middle of the road...

This is a game that is just good enough and pretty enough to make you want to finish, but I definitely wouldn't rate it in Big Fish's top offerings. There are considerable lag times between screens, inventory items aren't labeled and are sometimes unidentifiable, and a few of the mini games were just incredibly confusing, even with the scant directions ("assemble a benzene ring out of hydrogen and carbon molecules"???...or the incomprehensible triangulation of number coordinates???)
There is a good bit of running back and forth, but thankfully there is an interactive map which takes much of the headache out of the constant trekking.
Also, just a personal pet peeve: if I can see the keys that I need in a sink of water, WHY can't I just reach in and get them? Or use one of the 10 things in my inventory to scoop out the water, or hook out the key ring??? WHY do we need to search for a freakin plunger??? If someone would write a great game where things like this make sense in a real world (where we climb over the fallen tree instead of assembling a dang chainsaw) then I will personally bake them a cake and declare them God o' Adventure Games FOREVER.
Rant over.
Stone Queen: not bad, but not great. Get it on sale.

Grim tales the snow queen

I love all the grim games & haven't had a problem with one up until now. Has anyone else had any problems of freezing up at the water fall with the little freezing critter? I've had to reboot 5 times & when I go back to Big fish the page looks like an old fashion computer screen dialog. I had to get on my iPad 1 just to witenagemot this comment.. I've double checked all of my settings on my iPad 3 to make sure it wasn't me.. Every thing else is fine.. I'm frustrated though. I would suggest any one buying for the iPad 3 double check reviews before buying to see if my problems been solved..

Really disappointing

The game mostly consisted of running back and forth, as if the creators wanted to make the game seem longer without any actual work. Animation was blurry and not that great. The character designs feel like they've been recycled from other Big Fish games. The lack of item names in the inventory made everything very frustrating. Plus, it made me download Big Fish's app finder app before I could see the bonus content! Really disappointed with Big Fish lately. I love the games I downloaded before, but the past 3 or so I've gotten have been really lackluster. Step it up or lose a customer, Big Fish. I LOVED the first two in the Grim Tales series, but the other ones just fall short for me.
