Unexpectedly fantastic
Two examples:
**1** when using the Share function from any iPhone app, you tap GroupText+ and then immediately choose both individuals and little groups that add up to exactly your desired recipients. [Note you have to enable the GroupText+ sharing option from the share menu!] For example, I will often tap my wife, and then tap the group that includes my siblings, and optionally tap the group that includes my parents! No typing multiple people's names and choosing the desired email for each. You define your groups in terms of how you send messages (note my wife has her own "group" so I can add her to a message to any other group), and then it's just a tap or two to select everyone you want!
**2** if you start with the group text plus app itself, you can not only select the people you want, but ALSO add in other things to send, such as recent pictures, clipboard contents etc! You are composing a message with different types of information with only a few taps!
Great potential
I really appreciate what Contrast did with this app. They take the technology of Launch Center Pro, which has never been particularly useful to me personally, married it to extensions and made a very useful app. I love the way it makes favorites for text messages possible.
I would just have a couple suggestions for the developers if they read this. I wish that there was a way to add a blank message "contact". That would allow the extension to replace the default message icon on the share sheet completely if one wanted to. I just wish the icon were a little more pretty but that is probably nit picky
Fast, efficient, and easy messaging
Group Text+ is a fantastic spinoff of the messaging functionality within Launch Center Pro. It offers a simple setup, approachable interface, and VERY fast experience.
I use it differently. Instead of grouping contacts together, I lost out my favorite contacts by themselves. That way, I have ultimate flexibility to make groups and send solo texts on the fly. Even sending a message to a single person is fast via GP+, as clicking a face is faster than typing a few letters and selecting a name.
The added ability to add a photo, clipboard, etc makes this a must have. I personally integrate it into Launch Center pro next to some more advanced message actions.
I recommend this app for someone that wants to have a favorite group of contacts that they want to send lightening fast text messages to.
