gTasks - for Google Tasks 4+

So the app is useful. That said there are a couple things that don’t make sense. For example, not being able to edit existing tasks - what is with that! As stated the version for iPad and iPhone do. There should be some limitations, but they should be the same regardless of platform. I use Google tasks a lot and the app makes is much easier to access/update them. The $10 for the app is reasonable, but it is not clear what it gets the user. The limitations between the free version and Pro are not clear. Since I can edit tasks with the Google interface or from my phone, I don’t see an advantage to Pro and will likely stay with the free version.

In summary, the cost is not prohibitive but the app should behave the same across platforms - it currently does not.

So unless you pay for this you can’t use it. I think it allows you to add like 3 things before it tells you that in order to edit or add you must upgrade. I paid for it considering it is the only to-do widget for apple. I wanted a widget so that I could see my to-do list in the notification center on the side. I would like a to-do list that stays open on the side of the computer that is easy to view and easy to hide. (so basically in the notifcations center) Widgets are the only things you can put in the notfications center. Hence I got this widget. However all it does in the notifications center is say gTasks. You can’t click on it to open gTasks, you can’t view your to-do lists there, nor dos it even sync with your calendar so you can at the very least see an upcoming due date easily. If I just wanted an app I was going to have to click on to open in order to see my to-do lists with due dates I coulld download plenty of other free apps that will also at least sync with my calendar. Basically a waste of my time and money.

This app is simple and easy to use. As others have metnioned, you really need the paid version to make it functional. I think the design is great and the syncing feature has worked perfectly. That said, I'm a bit nervous that it is not getting any type of updates.

I'd love to see an app-only feature that allows you to collaborate on lists as well. I'm not sure how that functionality would work however since Google LIsts by default do not allow you to do this.
