Guard911 is a mobile panic button app. In the event of an active shooting emergency, a user presses the main Guard911 panic button. As the app is dialing 911, an alert is immediately sent to the smartphones of all federal, state and local, ON and OFF duty, law enforcement officers who are in close proximity to the location and who belong to the Hero911 Network.
Additionally an intra-location alert is simultaneously sent to the smartphones of all staff and a mapped location of the initial alert is displayed (mapping depends on cell coverage). Guard911 also alerts all other protected locations within a 5 mile radius of the initial alert.
Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and Reviews
We have a staff of 400 at our church. Everyone is set up and has access. This app puts a panic button in the hands of all staff. It should be required for every church and school.
Didn't understand how to access this
Great concept, but I can't figure out how to access this. I'm a student doing research on ways for schools to have higher security. I went and downloaded this and it says I need a code given by an administrator. Went online and they don't tell you how to get the code from the administrator. It would be much easier to use if you could, say, make your own account with your own username and login
Needs improvements on implementation
Excellent app and idea however needs major upgrade in several areas.
1. Each person that needs to have access to the app must be put in manually. There is no way to import via excel.
2. Staff Assist - No way to dictate who does/does not receive notification on staff assist request.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
