Wish every hotel had this functionality!
Allowed me to skip a long line at checkin!! Initially was confused as there are two marriott apps, but the digital key worked as I was instructed. Initially I was apprehensive leaving my plastic key behind but after my 2nd stay using the phone as my key I was sold on it!! Can't wait for them to have this at all their hotels!
Not ready for use
Marriott clearly doesn't have the bugs worked out on this app yet. I downloaded while in the Charleston Marriott, a participating location. It ask for my reservation number which was weird because I am already checked in. Then it said there was an error in verifying probably because I already checked in. After that, none of the buttons would go to any of the screens to show me attractions or services in the area. This app is a complete fail.
Still not ready for Prime Time
I have been check-in for more than 24 hours at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Marriot and the app still does not recognize my room information. It certainly defeats the purpose of a digital key if it doesn't load the information at all. The local perks feature also does not provide any information (including if there are perks or not). Until the app is updated I suggest not downloading.
