Guitar and Ear

This app will aid in developing a familiarity with the sounds of specific intervals and their physical separation on the fretboard in various scales. The focus of this app is on the seven modes of the major scale and their tonal flavors. Play with each scale to get used to the intervals involved and then test yourself by hitting the "play" button, which will begin the game. With practice, intervals can become distinct and recognizable sounds. Then, all of music can become more accessible and yet deeper in meaning.

Great start to a good app

I've only had this app for 5 minutes now. It crashed one time; the first time I opened/used it.
UPDATE: I've been using this app most of the day. It crashes a lot. Not good! Fix this!

What I REALLY love about this app is that I get to play the interval notes myself for practice. What I mean is: I have another ear training app also and when you select an interval in that app, it plays the Root followed by the Interval. I don't want that. I only want the notes played that I tap on because I need to control my own learning experience. When my mind is ready to hear the interval, playing the Root only causes memory confusion to me.
THIS app plays the note YOU tap! It doesn't try to tell you what to think.
(If ANY of that makes sense to anyone else).

The tests are fun and easy to use. It's sort of a game of "Simon Says". It plays an interval then you try to play the interval and it scores you and tells you what the answer should have been. I find it very helpful. While my other ear training app had been around for awhile and has good ratings, I like this one better!

Some things I think could be improved: Stability (it should not crash when you open or use it--EVER)
Help File (provide some instructions on what the buttons are for and how to use the app--and some way to contact support/provide feedback to the author!)
More Content (add other scales & modes to the app)

This is a great start to a good app and I can see this getting better with regular updates/improvements. I DO recommend this app for anyone wanting "ear training"!
