The Guitar Collection: George Harrison is an exploration of Harrison’s historic guitars, instruments that the legendary artist played on some of the most famous songs in music history.
The app features the Rickenbacker 360/12, the Gretsch Duo Jet, the Rosewood Telecaster, the Gibson J-160E, the Zemaitis Lotus 12-String, the Ramirez Classical, the Cherry Les Paul, the Epiphone Casino, the Fender Stratocaster named “Rocky," and more.
From his years with The Beatles to his vaunted solo career, Harrison’s talent continues to define the sound of popular music. For the first time, with the help of unique 360° imaging by photographer Steven Sebring, fans can see the scratches, dings and worn threads on the guitars as if they were holding the instruments themselves.
The app features:
-360° images of Harrison’s guitars
-Detailed histories and descriptions of each guitar, including the origin of the guitar, when and how it came to be a part of Harrison’s collection, modifications he made to it, and why each was so important in creating his distinctive sound
-An innovative music library that allows you to listen to your personal Harrison music collection as you tour his guitars
-Rare audio of George introducing many of the guitars and demonstrating their tone
-Ultra hi-res images of all guitars
-Exclusive videos of Dhani Harrison, Ben Harper, Josh Homme, Conan O’Brien and Mike Campbell playing George’s guitars
-Interviews with acclaimed guitarist Gary Moore

Other tweaks and improvements
As a George Harrison fan I could not wait for this app to come out. I was not disappointed, I refer back to it often. It's also fun to tool around it. It was great of Dhani to be aware the direction technology was going and to have the foresight to create this when he did. Having George's voice tell about the guitars is a wonderful touch. Thank you to all that made this app possible. People out there you will not be disappointed with this purchase.
A Great App!!!
An absolute must for any Harrison/Beatles fan, or any music aficionado interested in musical history. All of George's guitars are there with extensive links to performances and modification details. The only guitar missing that I could see was his "Country Gentleman", which may have been omitted because I believe was lost or destroyed. Still, it would have been nice to include a similar one with a disclaimer.
A must-have for the gear head or Beatles fan
I'm so glad this is available on the iPhone now, and especially at the price of $.99 – you'd pay 15 or 20 times that amount for a magazine or book detailing the same information, and here there is the benefit of the audio snippets. Highly recommended, five stars!
