What's New in Version 2.1.0
Optimized for improved performance with iOS 6.
Very enjoying in spare time. If you want to kill some time and rock out, you can't beat a $2.99 game and $1.99 for DLC. Some people are complaining about the cost of the game and DLC. Try buying a burger and a soda and seeing how much that cost. They cost about the same and the burger and soda are gone in 10 minutes. When I'm not rocking out with a real guitar with friends or on Rocksmith (PS3), I've been enjoying this version of Guitar Hero just before my wife gets off work or kicked back in bed before going to sleep. I enjoy this game. It beats mindlessly sitting and tapping your knee or table to the beat of a song. It's a rhythm game, you tap, hold, slide your fingers and enjoy some tunes. Rock out dude!!! \m/
Overall slight disappointment
The app itself is fun to play, with fun ideas simulating the real guitar controller from a console version. That being said, despite copyright laws and fees that keep it this way, I wish there were more than 6 songs to play. Songs sell for roughly the same price they do as DLC on a console version, and we only get 6 to start with. I see it as a decent marketing attempt, but one that doesn't keep me interested enough to buy more songs.
Also, probably should have mentioned this first, the app crashes when I return to the song list after every song. Interrupts my attention from the game enough where I don't want to keep playing or download more songs.
Too expensive and crashes
First off the game has too many bugs. It constantly crashes and you have to reload everything, which is not only annoying, but not something you want to pay real money for.
And to make it worse, unless you have extra money to be spending on silly little apps, this game can get pretty expensive. You have to pay if you want more than 3 songs to play, and it's not just one price to unlock everything. Instead they make you pay again and again every time you want 3 more songs. And most of the song choices are pretty crappy (although I suppose that's debatable depending on your taste in music).
I played this game the first day I bought it and haven't opened it once in the weeks prior. It's boring.
