Great release! Here are some next steps
This is very helpful so good work so far! Next I think you can do a few things :
1 - go beyond the 12th fret
2 - instead of having to pick one note, pick that note across all of the strings. This will force the user to learn the structure of where a note lies relative to itself on other strings.
3 - in the "explore" piece, give an interactive lesson on a good pattern to follow where a note is across all the strings.
I like that it names the note and string and asks you to find it, which is closer to what you'd do with a guitar - I wish it would name the note and a fret (or frets) and ask you to find that as well. Also, it'd be nice if it somehow highlighted the string (or fret) rather than using the string diagram. Finally, it should give better feedback when you get one wrong. Other than those improvements, great app.
I was skeptical at first because I only knew the low E a little bit so when I tried the other strings, it was near impossible. Within an hour I was mastering the following strings! The only improvement I can think of, would be to include the sound of the note in order to train the ear as well.
