*Some gift cards may need to be manually updated. Currently, some retailers do not allow automatic balance updates. We’re working hard to get them on board!
What's New in Version 2.2.73
Speed is the name of the game! In this release, we made a ton of under the hood improvements to increase the app’s speed. We also made it easier and faster to buy and send gift cards. The app now remembers your previous payment method you used and will make it your default payment method on your next purchase - one less step for you. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to change it whenever you want.
There were also lots of exciting enhancements in our last release that you may have missed. Touch ID is available. So now you can keep your gift cards even more secure! Go to Settings to enable it. While you’re in there, check out all the other new things we recently added. Monitor the status of the gift cards you sent and view your order history, Gyft Card balance and rewards, and archived gift cards.
+ Fixed the occasional crash affecting some users when unlocking app using Touch ID

I really like using this app… What's not to like? The best part for me is that it gives me many more options to use Bitcoin than I would otherwise have, and as a consequence, it's one of the chief reasons I frequent Starbucks and target. Of course, I would really like to know why the points have recently disappeared, and obviously more retailers are always welcome, but this is the best and easiest way to use Bitcoin that I know of. I would highly recommend it.
I raved about this app to my wife and encouraged her to get it. I had loaded a gift card to the app that I had gotten. Then I sent her the left over balance to her, as a gift, since she was shopping. When she tried to use the app the balance went to $0. She was embarrased at he checkout line. She emailed support and said they couldn't do anything for us because it was loaded in manually and not purchased through gyft. But isn't one of the purposes of this app? To stop carrying around gift cards? Needless to say we lost +$40, and they don't seem to make it right. Disappointing.
Nice app, but actually using the gift cards?
I like the app. Looks ok, and works well. Buying and gifting gift cards is easy as it should be.
The problem is that when you go to the store to use the gift card, the cashiers look at you like you're from out of this world.
Three different stores, same result.
Maybe it just needs to wait for stores and employees to catch up to the tech, but pretty painful and slow to use at this time.
