Great concepts, a few critiques
The concept of this app is great. Money is a good motivator. Personally, I'm already fit and healthy so this is a really easy way to hold me accountable and earn a little extra money. However, I think there should be more education about what is healthy and what a serving is. That would keep things more consistent with voting. Also, the app is very glitchy. I've managed to make it work for me, but it is annoying. As well, I don't feel like there is enough information of how the app actually works. When I send questions, I got the same generic answer for each one. Then, they put my pact on hold. My latest problem was being stuck in a loop when I tried to connect to MyFitnessPal, I'm sure I'll forgive that out too though (I have an iPhone6s). I hope it all can be resolved because I actually like the concept and would like to see it with all the kinks worked out. Good luck developers! 😉👍🏼
Update: I changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 because I explained my struggle to reach my goal and asked how the pay out worked so I could make up my loss. The lovely lady who helped me changed my goal so I wouldn't be charged and explained everything! She was so encouraging too. I still have some issues, but it looks like they are working on improving the app.
This App changed my life!
I love this App! I never thought that an app like this could actually motivate me to do the things that i've known i should be doing, but were all too easy to blow off if i didn't feel like it. Once you committ and put cash on the line, your thinking pattern changes. I wake up in the morning thinking how am i going to meet my goals. I've started to eat 5 or more veggies a day, regulary log my foods and now get at least 10K steps a day on the fitbit.
The app can be quirty at times and might make you resubmit a photo of a veggies after you approve other folks but this can be easily worked around once you figure out the system. I also found that support is very responsive. I've made $35 so far on the app and haven't lost anything.
If you want to get results, and the fear of losing $ or making money can motivate you, as well as doing what you really want to be doing, then give it a try.
I've had few problems, but good overall
At the beginning (about 2 years ago), I was completing only the gym and veggie pacts. It was great and worked well. I only earned less than $1 each week, but it helped keep me accountable. When I had a problem, I received prompt reply from support. Then I started having problems uploading veggie pictures, so I had to stop the veggie pact after many attempts to complete it. I was charged only once for that bug in the app, and support refunded it to me after I contacted them. I still haven't had any luck with veggies but the gym pact has held up. This week I lost a workout and has to contact support, and there was an automated message approving my workout. It happened about two seconds after I first submitted my email.
Overall, this is not an app to make money. It keeps you accountable for a healthy lifestyle, and it does that, except I haven't gotten the veggie pact to properly upload my pics. 4/5.
