In Love with GymPact and my New Body
I have been using gym pact for over a year now and am constantly raving about to friends and family both in and out of the "fitness" community. I use MyFitnessPal for my food logging and usually gps or runkeeper for the gym. The accountability is fantastic! Even if I just go for a 30 min walk around my neighborhood each little thing counts!!! Their customer service is above and beyond most companies out there. They are always willing to help if any problem ever arises.
The only thing I wish they could change is on the veggie pact that the pictures not be saved to my camera roll. I eat lots of fruits and veggies all day but do not participate in this pact as deleting 15 pictures of kale off my phone can get annoying. Possible update soon?
Either way I am now competing in mud runs and look the best I've ever looked! Hello 3-0, I'm feeling great!!! Thanks GymPact yall rock.
The motion detector/step tracker doesn't work, I would be walking for several minutes and look and it's only recorded 2 minutes. The app times out a lot when trying to load a photo, then says you failed to complete a pact. You are required to eat 1200 calories, no matter your size. I'm 4'8" and in order to lose the weight I've put on since injuring my back and knees I need to keep it under 1200, due to my decrease in my physical activity. I've canceled my membership after finding my $ weren't going up. They said I failed an app in December and my payment method didn't work. I have it linked to PayPal which is linked to my bank account so that's a bunch of bull, plus I've never failed a pact. Then they say to update my payment info and I can get the last week credited to me! I've used this app over a year and just did it aimlessly, not looking at my $. I wish I had paid closer attention, so I would have been able to get the $ for the almost 600 pacts I've done. Don't waste your time
In case your wandering what kind of payouts you get read this.
Not worth my time. I work out enough and log my food but sometimes I forget to "complete" my daily log so it doesn't count for logging that day even though all three meals were logged. Then I put up $70 to potentially lose and what do I get when I'm successful? $0.95. Yep less than a buck for putting up 70 dollars. The risk reward is just too out of balance. I like the idea of the app but it just won't work. Oh and they only let you collect after reaching $10 balance so Pact can have my 95 cents. I've canceled the authorized payments on PayPal because it's also not very clear how to stop this app from charging you. I don't even know if I can delete it. On second thought I have decided to lower the amount of stars this app gets.
