This score card was originally optimized for the specific version of Hand and Foot card game that I play with my wife and friends. Now, the score card can be fully customized to suit many versions of the game. We normally play six handed games, so, the default is to have six players. The score card can keep score for up to eight players. A set of rules for game play is presented on the Rules tab, but, an internet search will also find rules for other variations of play.
This score card also allows for playing with 2, 3, or 4 partners. The main difference is that only one partner needs to lay down the minimum meld, only one set of books is played per team, and a team must have two red books and two black books to go out.
It is now possible to print the scores directly to an Airprint supported printer. The scores can still be saved to the Notes app using the Copy All button in the History tab window. Open the Notes app and select paste.
The score card now allows data and settings files to be saved to computer via iTunes. The data file contains the history of the all the games which can be copied from the data file to a text file. CAUTION: DO NOT MODIFY EITHER THE SETTINGS OR DATA PLIST FILES MANUALLY. THE APPLICATION CAN CRASH IF THE FILES ARE MODIFIED.
Due to minimum iOS requirements for the iPad Pro, the score card now only supports iOS 8.0 and later.
If you have reviewed this app previously with a score lower than five due to a lack of options, please select the Settings tab and use the Rate Hand and Foot button to rate the app again after using this version which has major changes adding all the extra options. If you have further options requests, recommendations, or you have found a bug, please feel free to send me an email. Thank you and enjoy the app.
This version fixes a problem with backward compatibility with older iPads. No new functionality has been added.

We meld 210.... Can we increase this?
More meld points inserts....60..90..120..150..180..210?
Developer Response ,
The Minimum Meld Points can be changed on the Settings tab. After making the change, select Apply to implement it.
Tried using this but ended up having to use a pencil and pad to keep score. Did not allow for entering negative scores for cards left in hand and foot at end of round. Why is optional entries only allowed to be multiples of 5?
Developer Response ,
To enter the negative scores from the hand and the foot, enable the Split Points Entries option on the settings page and select Apply. The Points entry will then change to two rows with Hand Points (negative scores) and Meld Points (positive scores). These types of options are explained on the Help tab.
As for the optional points being only in multiples of 5, card values are in multiples of 5 and I just carried it through to the optional values. I suppose it would be reasonable to allow optional scores of any value and I will consider making that change for the next update. If you contact me directly, I will be happy to discuss with you these types of changes.
Great score keeper
This score keeper has really come in handy for scoring our hand-and-foot games. It is especially useful because of the settings which allow you to set the score card up for your particular variation of the game. One such setting I would like to see is an option to display the difference in the scores. We always play men vs women and someone is always asking "how much are we ahead by"?
Also, a nice feature would be to select a game from the history (one that was not finished) and retrieve the game so we can finish it.
