Restore Purchases Function Doesn't Work, keyboards Slow/Freeze
I bought the Signature Collection keyboards from my Ipad Air, intending to use them mostly in my IPad mini when I'm away from home. Unfortunately, I still cannot get the app Signature collection keyboards in my Ipad mini because the restore Purchases feature doesn't work. It's been around ten days and I've written customer support, but still no functionality to the Restore feature. That's discouraging as it seems something that should have been corrected more quickly. The Signature Collection keyboards should not have been sold, if the restore feature was not working.
As for the new keyboards, and the original Hanx Prime Select, they work pretty well within the app, and are enjoyable (thank you there as it gives me hope), but in my email program they often freeze. If I type at all moderately quickly, the screen tends to turn grey. It sometimes takes too long to scroll through the keyboards to find what I want, or to use smiley faces/emoji, or the basic apple keyboard (that does work). These Signature Collection keyboards and the Hanx Prime Select are nowhere near useful in the email program. And so I have unistalled them, and use the Apple keyboard, at least for the time being.
An update to get the Restore Purchases feature promptly working, and improve these other problems outside the Hanx Writer app is needed badly.

Update: Unfortunately the latest update ruined this thing! I was excited to see new typewriters and bought them without checking reviews. Big mistake! I can't get any of these keyboards to work in any app other than the Hanxwriter app now. (The old three used to work in most of the apps I use.) In addition, now all of the keyboards seem to lag badly when typing if you are a fast typist. I compared them to the original three keyboards on my Iphone (on which I didn't update to the three new keyboards), and they are definitely slower. You guys need to iron the bugs out before you put out new stuff! Disappointed! Five stars just became one star!
I love this app! I love my ipad, but typing on the thing is a drag! I have never been a fan of Word or Pages with all their autocorrect features that seem to be nearly impossible to turn off. I love the typewriter noise; it just is so much better than the standard ipad clicks. This app is for those of us who, while we love technology, still miss the simplicity of our old manual typewriter! Great job with this app! Now if you could just integrate it into the ipad keyboard that comes up in all the other apps, that would be perfect!
Excellent - BUT.
Putting my thoughts together quickly. The app itself is as advertised and I like it a lot, the thing currently holding me back is the keyboard integration with iOS. Specifically do not like that if you have all the typewriters, you're forced to cycle through all 5 of them to get back to the standard or other keyboards on your phone/iPad. Not exactly convenient. Either a way to remove unwanted keyboards from the list in the app, or a long press on the globe letting you jump back faster. That'd bump it to 4 stars.
Otherwise the latest update seems to have helped the keyboards feel a bit more responsive in the app itself, but it's still a touch laggy when typing elsewhere. This also holds it back somewhat from being suitable for everyday use or more than a novelty - a fix here + the above change and it'd rate 5 stars.
Hope the feedback is useful to the devs. I do enjoy the app, it delivers that nostalgia thing nicely, it just needs a bump to take it to the next level on usability.
