The new ads do not support happy couples
I agree with the reviewer below. I've been a very happy and regular Happy Couple user for at least a year now. I certainly don't mind ads paying for my experience, but the first one I saw after updating the app had the title, "Why men leave the 'perfect' woman. What every woman needs to know". That's divisive and it made me feel icky. The second one was about Trump - certainly nothing romantic about that. You definitely need to screen advertisers better. A couple more of those experiences and I'll likely stop using the app. Its charm won't outweigh its annoyance.
Here's what I've been enjoying about HC:
1. My new husband and I play nearly every day. It's a nice way to feel connected and know that we thought about each other outside of the routine of the day.
2. It has made me appreciate how compatible we are in myriad small ways, as our answers frequently match. I love that.
3. It has created interesting new topics for discussion on dates.
4. Initially we were partly motivated by the gamification and wanting to increase levels. That helped drive the habit. Now we're at some high level (26, I think) so that's no longer very interesting. The reward is just the good feeling it gives me when I start the app and see my husband has played, and to see his answers. Which is why if the ads give me a bad feeling, it's no longer something I'll use.

New ads are distracting and offensive. Probably will stop using
Love this app! It gets us talking about things we wouldn't usually just bring up in conversation! Helps us connect on a daily basis in the midst of busy lives....this is how I felt about the app until I downloaded the newest version at the developer's request. The ads are distracting. I didn't mind small banner ads but now they take over the screen and you have to close out carefully to continue. Also who cares about how other people answer the questions?! This app is about your partner in life not everyone else. I am a happily married woman and don't care if other women want to role play or not 🙄 I wish I had stuck to the old version because we loved this app and if I see one Trump positive ad or anything political I'm deleting it. So disappointed in the update to say the least.
So much better without ads
I've used this app for quite a while so before and after they started running ads and I am so glad they decided to do away with them. I really enjoy using this app, but the ads were awful. There was one point where they started advertising dating services and Russian mail order brides...on an app that's supposed to be for couples.
Other than that I have very little criticism other than I wish there were more answer choices for certain questions.
Overall I recommend it especially for couples in Long Distance Relationships.
