Great Bluetooth phone control of LED controllers
Latest update is working great! The previous update didn’t work the controllers at all and I thought the controllers were all going to need replacing but the newest update fixes everything.
I'm using multiple LED controllers with this app. The app is great for controlling your RGB setups and has a few nice effects available. If you're looking for sound activated control which is kind of a lame feature anyways this app will only work with music you've downloaded on your phone and must be controlled from the app. If you're looking for solid control of RGB and a smooth stable way to control your lighting this is a great app. Turning the lights off is easy, simply tap the lightbulb icon and it turns from green to grey and your lights turn off. I've seen lots of crappy apps to control lighting with and this isn't one of them.
App doesn’t adjust anything
UPDATE TO REVIEW - IOS needed to be updated to version 11.2.5 and it started working. Does a very nice job connecting and works like a charm now. 4 stars because the adhesive is not sticky enough.
The lights are very cool and easy to install. They turned on white colored. The app then connected for the first time and all was well. After 2 minutes of exploring the app, the red pulsating lights started and haven’t stopped since. Everything in the app and my phone says it’s connected but nothing happens to the lights. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail on my updated iPhone. Please fix the app ASAP or I’ll have to remove everything and start over.
Music Feature not the greatest
I purchased the LED lights to test how good the app and product itself works.
To get into detail with the music feature, there's many things to point out.
1) You have to play downloaded music through the app, you can't play through the music app/spotify/apple music.
2) Lack of playlist options. If you have created a playlist on your Music app, you cannot play it.
3) Responsiveness to music. The music that you can play to the music, really isn't that responsive and your light pretty much stays on instead of pulsing to the beat. The most you would probably get is some flickering like a dying bulb.
4) Microphone sensitivity. The app uses the phone microphone which is very sensitive. So once again the lights would react to all the sounds it picks up as you're driving down the road and all you would get is little flickering.
The music feature I believe is the main reason consumers purchase this product, the idea is great and I hope to see improvements through updates.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
