Customer Reviews

Great app...why all the complaints?

After subscribing to HBR I prepared to download the IOS app. After reading the reviews I actually decided not to download the app but find another way to access my subscription. Finally I decided to try the app, thinking that the worst that would happen is that I would delete the app. What a pleasant surprise! The app works great. People with bad experiences may either be impatient or unable to follow instructions. Touchscreen commands work fine. Monthly issue downloads fine. Reading it is set up well. I guess I'm enjoying it even more because my expectations were so low. Try it, you'll like it.

Great Potential - constantly corrupts issues

Many times the app corrupts downloaded copies of the Harvard business review magazines. I have had to download some issues three times. The buttons to download are not responsive - sometimes they work and sometimes I have to press a button more than five times.

When the app works, love it. Content is 5 stars, just delivery issues. Please fix the usability and data corruption issues. Users can then faithfully read HBR while traveling without lugging around paper copies.

What horrible app!

First of all very unresponsive, you must 'touch' almost right through your iPad to get anywhere in this disaster of an app. When you finally do, you won't be able to synch your paid for subscription with the online version. Oh it will tell you you you were successful in synching it ('Good news!'), only to take you back right to the screen you were where you can sign up for a paid subscription. Somehow I feel we have a great Harvard Business School case study in the works on failed online strategy...
