Lot’s of window layer issues.
Edit: A major update has fixed a lot of the bugs. The remaining annoyance is that it’s constantly not layered correctly with other windows. It get’s stuck on top of full screen apps all the time. I just want it to stay docked to the menu bar, but it is constantly disconnecting itself and floating around. Wen you click the “+” to add an entry, that pop-up is often behind the main app window. This seems like it should be pretty easy to get right.
While this is better than the previous version, it’s still a hassle and should see updates and bug fixes more frequently. Isn’t that the promise of the subscription model? I added one star from my previous review for the improvements.

The number of bugs in this and every other version of this app is enought to make me want to leave the service all together. Of course, there’s a barrier to exit, but one of these days when I have a bit of time, I’ll shut it down. I’ve contacted support directly and reported a lot of bugs spanning multiple versions, but they never get fixed. The app loses my information all the time, and that’s unacceptable. If you were thinking of signing up with harvest, don’t. There are better services out there.
Better than the browser version
I have been using the browser version of Harvest for years. I just downloaded the app version. It's much easier to find then digging through a bunch of browsers to turn off your timer. If you're already using Harvest, this is a really useful tool for managing your time entries quickly.
Missing Login with Google Account, Submit Week
You need to map the functionality of the web app to the desktop app 1:1. This is not how I want to be using the app, that is constantly switching between the web app and the desktop app just to submit timesheets for the week, or even logging in for the first time.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
