Haunted Legends. Undertaker

I like this series, but this one bugged me by asking me to log into the App Store every time I opened or went back to the game (if I left it open when I shut down the iPad.) I just had to cancel that popup, but wow, seriously annoying. Other than that, I enjoyed the game. Nice length, plus the bonus game had a nice length. Had to use the strategy guide once when I got lost because at one point you can go out a window, but not back in. Fun puzzles, some easy, some challenging, but never had to skip any. Story was good, scenes in HO clear. Some needed items had to be tapped a significant distance above them, because the item was in the 'go back a scene' zone. That was annoying to figure out, as you didn't really know if you needed that item, because you couldn't tap right on it! I mean, I pointed a dang spotlight at it, so I must need it, but when I tap it, I go back a scene, so do I go back and try again? Yes, I eventually tap above it and get it! Annoying! I still give it four stars, though, because I got it for 3.99. And because I like this series and hope for more!

BEYOND Disappointing

The game has too many illogical leaps to be enjoyable. The hint button simply tells you there's nothing to do and to move on. It even said that when I used it to find an item in a HO scene! DUH!! No map. Useless hints. I actually had to use the guide to figure out some of the moves. Some of the "puzzles" are so simple, it's boring, while others are difficult to impossible, mostly due to poor instructions. The hint will show areas you can't use yet and that you already discovered, as well. The hidden buttons, to select items and to return to previous scenes, etc. are all messed up, too. Some things need to be increased in size using the pinch screen, or they won't accept the tap. Other times trying to find where to tap is nearly impossible. And in some places, like the bakery, anywhere you tap on the lower half of the page, will bring you back a scene. Very frustrating. Overall, this game needs work. I'm about half way through, according the the fish scales, another pointless diversion, and I'm so frustrated with this game, I've gone from disappointed to hatred. What a gigantic waste of money. To the developers....learn how to design a GOOD game!

Haunted Legends: The Undertaker reviewed by Lynxminx

All in all a very good game. Easy to follow story, lengthy with bonus adventure too, and lots of unlockables! There was a journal and a strategy guide. Great graphics! Lots of fun puzzles and mini-games so it wasn't constant HO scenes. I liked the silhouette scenes but when you got an item it should have been labeled like the rest of the inventory. Also there was no map, which was not too bad but I could see people getting confused. It wasn't an easy game, and hints did not give anything away! Next time give us a teleporting map, which everyone loves! I am of course deducting a star for no map and also that absolutely terrifying RAT in the bonus adventure! Thank goodness I found what I needed to get it to leave, because it was truly horrific! Give us some more beautiful games too! They don't always have to be gloomy and scary!
