HeadCheck is a multi-device solution that helps you performs your current concussion protocol and implement the latest best standardized concussion tests. Our flexible technology will keep you up-to-date with the constantly evolving best practices for concussion testing.
The current standardized methodology for concussion testing was built through years of research and relies on evidence based science. It tests multiple facets of the brain, providing you with more robust information.
Now with even more testing, HeadCheck includes: Glasgow Coma Scale, Eye Movement Input, Maddocks Score, Cervical Spine Evaluation, Symptoms Evaluation, Cognitive Assessment, Neurological Exam, Balance Test and Vestibular-Ocular Motor Screening.
The HeadCheck mobile app was specifically designed for use by qualified professionals anywhere at any time to improve the speed and accuracy of their testing. Digitizing the data enables instant test comparison, graphs, and historical results that help you get to the appropriate “play/no-play” decision faster and with more confidence. An enhanced web dashboard allows for easier and more thorough management of all the concussion data collected.
HeadCheck meets top line Health Privacy requirements in Canada and the United States (PIPEDA & HIPAA) guaranteeing your data remains private and secure. Test information can be securely shared with health care professionals by encrypted email through the app.
Note: HeadCheck should not be used as a substitute for clinical judgment and should not be used solely to make or exclude the diagnosis of concussion in absence of clinical judgment. Return-to-play should always be determined by a qualified medical professional, as an athlete may have a concussion even if scores present as normal.
This test is designed for athletes aged 13+. For tests you wish to complete on athletes under the age of 13, please perform the Child SCAT, which you can find at this link: http://bjsm.bmj.com/content/47/5/263.full.pdf
Today we’re introducing Organizations. If you’ve ever had to manage multiple HeadCheck accounts or desired a company-specific dashboard, you’re going to love Organizations. This new feature allows you to log in with a single username to access your Primary organization's teams and athletes/patients, and with a quick tap and type, you can access any other organization you are affiliated with. We like to consider this 'version 1.5' of the Organization system; more features are coming in the future, including expanded role-based access and embedded reporting for yourself and for your organization.
With this release, we've also made a few minor changes: Testers can now indicate they "suspect" a concussion, can report how the injury happened, and must indicate the details of the balance test before proceeding. We've also made some minor bug fixes which prevent the app from displaying out of proper format.
Ratings and Reviews
Crashes on iOS 11.3
Good app and inclusion of VOMS is great. Unfortunately it crashes when you get to the Convergence section. I’d rate higher if I could actually complete a test.
