Best meditation app!
I've recently started meditating to help deal with some stress and anxiety. Not only has it started to help with it, but I can slowly start to me myself becoming more mindful of things during the day. The guy who started this app is really brilliant, he's very studied in this teachings and simplifies things for you. He has a nice voice and helps guide you through a short but meaningful 10 minute long meditation. It's absolutely worth the try, 10 minutes to mindfulness? Why wouldn't you give it a try?! You can also download the daily meditations for when you don't have wifi or a data connection. It also tracks your progress. Thoroughly awesome app!
I've been using this app consistently for a few months. It's a great app. Andy does a fantastic job guiding the meditations. It's a wonderful way to start a meditation practice. I now go to an additional group setting meditation class two times a week and our teacher follows a very similar style of practice. I love that you can download the upcoming meditations instead of only streaming them so that you do not need to rely on a good connection to listen to the guided meditation. I also really like Andy's check in at certain phases. I liked it so much that I've purchased a years worth of guided meditations for headspace. Keep up the great work Andy and team.
Maybe the perfect method for beginners
Edited review: I've now been using headspace for about four months and i can't believe how helpful it's been. I was deeply skeptical of meditation to begin with, but heard this app was good and thought I'd give it a try. After the first ten I begrudgingly bought the year membership and haven't looked back. The mind series is just incredible. I'm much more aware of my emotions and feelings than I ever have been before. I doubt I ever would have gotten into meditation without headspace and I now can't imagine ever living without it. Maybe the best $80 I've ever spent in my entire life. Thank you.
