Every Med student & Resident needs this reference!!!

Mommamdfw

Among the growing available breastfeeding apps, this one fills a particular gap needed as an easy-to-use ready reference for med students & residents on OB, newborn, and NICU rotations, as well as the seasoned Family Practitioner who didn't get anything other than "at the elbow" lactation education. Common Lactation ICD-9 codes billable in Pedi, OB, and FP office visits are very helpful for office-based practices. It's very easy to use, has a complete (if not exhaustive) index, and EXCELLENT resources links for providers after more comprehensive info. Great work by the Texas DSHS to make breastfeeding info accessible and cheap to today's healthcare providers wanting to beef up their own human milk know-how & practice.
I'd like to see breast milk storage & handling guidelines for healthy term infants & preterm infants added in the next update.

Extremely resourceful app

Veteran breastfeeder

As a pediatrician who works both in a clinic and hospital setting, I'm constantly working with new breastfeeding mothers. This app has wonderful pictures and step by step tips that even busy practitioners can easily use with their patients. The topics are well organized and easy to access. There are also many evidence based articles to share with other health care providers. I'm really excited to share this app with my colleagues!

Great breastfeeding app

This is a very comprehensive app with information for health care providers regarding the basics of breastfeeding. It includes links to other valuable resources for those who want to learn more! A must have for those who care for mothers and babies.
