Each magazine issue is available to subscribers and for purchase. Current magazine subscribers get full access to their issues by signing in with their HEALTH digital account.

SUBSCRIBERS’ AUTOMATIC-RENEWAL FEATURE:
Your subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of your current period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
Current subscribers may not be canceled during the active subscription period, but you can manage your subscription and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.

Great Digital Mag
Review update as of Dec 2017: the update has not been good on my iPad - this may be due to the fact I have an old iPad but now every page takes a few seconds to load even after I've downloaded it for offline use. Also lots of glitches and the app gets frozen often. Not sure if any others have experienced this as well. Same feelings about Cooking Light as user interface is the same.
I think it's great; I've been a digital subscriber on iPad for over a year now and have not had any issues. The only areas of improvement I can think of is speed of downloading (currently it takes a bit of time), and the fact that you have to have the issue fully downloaded before you can view it offline. Other than that I really have had no issues; it's been great!
I love the app. I already receive the printed magazine so this was a free add-on. I loved the fact that once you went through the set-up steps that all the issues under your subscription number downloaded automatically and arranged on shelves. Much better than some of my other subscriptions that make you download each edition individually.
It is nice to have back options in one convenient place for easy access to some of the recipes and exercise ideas. I also like having my own reading material for waiting rooms, because I hate all the germs from the supplied reading materials in waiting rooms.
Update Has Issues
First, with this update I had to log back in which was a pain as I’m on holiday without user name & password. I get those, download latest issue & when I tap on it to read, the screen goes blank & freezes. I close the app & reopen but it freezes on the screen asking me to subscribe. I couldn’t even change it from Latest to Issues or Settings. This morning, I tried again to no avail. Reading the Customer Service Support for iPad, I swiped up, reopened & it again went to Latest & was not frozen. It says I’ve downloaded the issue but this has been a major pain & I've yet to start reading it so don’t know what’s coming next. Not sure what the problem is but there seems to be one.
