Play your daily quests..
If You want to play this game. Expect to consistently lose 50 per cent of the games you play. This is no matter how good you are or how good your cards are. (The exception being those few savants with 10,090 followers and a website dedicated to people streaming their games)
If your doing really well you will get matched with them or with players with better decks than you. So if you get crushed by someone with a bunch of legendaries congratulations your doing great. If you like to always win this is not for you. You really win by slowly climbing the ranked play ladder. you slowly. Very slowly get better cards and learn to utilize them. You can access all of the cards without spending a dime. Just play the daily quests. Save 700 gold and buy the solo adventures. Blizzard has been very good about not locking down any important content. Also if your having trouble building a winning deck there are many evil geniuses putting together
Decks of all levels on the Internet. Good luck.
Vegas Would Be Proud , Definitely NOT Random
With Blizzards new push to host eSports on network television, there is no way this game should qualify as a sport of any kind. The percentages are not random, they're patterned to adapt based on what you've been doing. If you keep playing the same deck, the game is going to line you up for losses encouraging you to buy new cards and make a new deck. You are under the assumption you always play other player humans but half the time it seems like you're playing an adapting AI that follows the same steady pauses over the cards in predictable patterns before it plays exactly the card that was needed. Even worse is all the astroturfing going on by curse network in the reviews and on Reddit, and the rampant comments saying that the sample size for poor stats is always too small no matter how atrocious the game continues to be and each time those commenters come from the same few places who are in a place to profit the more popular this game gets. I would love to love this game, but it's such a scam right down to its core that was made to take advantage of your assumptions.
Hearthstone is a game that is a love/hate relationship. I love the design of the cards, the quests, and Tavern Brawl is a fun thing to do every week. But, Blizzard is too lazy to fix anything in this game. "Secret Paladin" is a deck that tortures the ranked play, making any rank past rank 15 unplayable because it takes no skill and is totally not fun. But Blizzard doesn't care, all they want is your money, because they will just throw out new expansions and claim that it will counter the United fun deck of the month. But if it comes down to it, and they absolutely have to nerf a card or a deck, they nerf it so it is unplayable. The classes aren't balanced, with Shaman and Rogue at the bottom of the totem pole, and Paladin at the top getting all of the best cards. Oh, and don't even bother buying an expansion on day 1 just for the cards, because 95% of the cards won't see any play. And this game is just dumbed down to who has the best curve, so if you have a terrible start and your opponent plays a great turn 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, & 8, it is basically turn 9 lose. In conclusion, this game is just purely u fun after the first week of playing.
