Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

Pulling off a Super Mario Run
This game is great, as an AI learns each and every step in this hide and seek house. But the free trial only gives you a taste of the game. Because of that, I have two problems with the game: 1, You have to pay $15 for act 2-3. Just like Super Mario Run. they only allow you to play up to world 1 and play Toad Rally in the free trial of the game, and you have to pay $10 for the full game. It’s tedious and overpriced. Most mobile games that are pay-to-play (such as Minecraft or Plague Inc.) only cost about $2-7 for most or basically all the game has to offer to the player.
2, Each act in the game takes approximately 15-20 minutes for the average player. So the game takes up to 2-4 hours to beat. Most paid games like Minecraft or Terraria don’t really HAVE an end, unless you decide to end it yourself by achieving a goal of some sort. But other games that DO have an end like Infinity Blade takes approximately 5-7 or even 8 hours for the average player to complete, and it’s $5-7.
Basically what I’m saying is games that require you to pay to get access to the full game is overpriced, overrated, and shorter than it should be. (Like Hello Neighbor and Super Mario Run.)
I’m giving it 3 stars because 1. it does take a giant leap in the horror genre because of learning AI, 2. because its a nice game to play on the road (better at night) and 3. Because I’m a nice guy in general so you get +1 star.
Wished it was better
I was so exited when this game which I loved watching you tubers play was available on mobile and also for free. However upon learning the the full game had to be purchased separately and was very expensive I was disappointed. However I was still willing to give act one a try but was again disappointed with all the other issues with the game.
Similar to what I have all ready read the controls could definitely use a lot of improvement as it is difficult the activate certain controls most commonly walking as you just get stuck sometimes and the joy stick would not react.
The upon learning that the steal series controller work for the game I got really exited as it was much easier to control. However I was again disappointed when I found out that a lot of things were not fleshed out for example not being able to pick up items, open doors or as a matter a fact activate anything with the controller instead having to use the controls on the screen.
While I noticed some other problems like some of the tap controls being very unresponsive the previous mentioned issues with the basic and necessary controls made me not want to continue playing.
The controls and responsiveness of those controls need a big overhaul, as well as if there is support for the controller, make it full support.
This game is so fun. I would watch Markiplier play hello neighbor on his computer so I’ve always wanted to play. Just one thing. Why do we have to buy the full game? It’s just weird. I know you have to make money but at least make it so you pay for the game instead of only being able to play a trial. The game is still great though but I have money that needs to be used in other things. (Yes I’m a kid with money) I use my money for something’s but it’s only things that are one dollar or so. I’ll probably get the full version soon but for now I’m using the trial. Thanks for this game! I’m having fun with it! 😛 Dude! This game crashes a lot. I grabbed something I didn’t want so I put it down then the game just crashed after I almost got caught by the neighbor. So I’m making this a three star rating because of the crashes. Another reason why is because I almost got fought once but then I ran across the street and the neighbor couldn’t get me there. But when he crossed his arms an shook his head then walked away I got really close to him and he was able to catch me but he didn’t. So then I just went in his house and he didn’t care that I walked in. Also he can glitch in the bathroom wall but it only happens once and that was a week ago.
