Hesperus is a simple and beautiful iOS application that allows you to setup, manage and control all your HomeKit accessories. It also features a really powerful automation tool for you to quickly create rules to automate your home.
Hesperus supports a wide range of HomeKit accessories. The state of each accessory will be displayed right in the dashboard so you can keep up with everything in your home with just a glance. For most of accessories, you can get basic operations done with a single tap; and for complex controls, Hesperus provides a clear and elegant control panel.
It’s always good to keep things organized. Hesperus allows you to organize your accessories easily with rooms and zones and you can assign a minimalistic icon to each space to help you identify the space. Hesperus also features an accessory manager to help you rename and place each accessory to the place where it belongs to so that Siri can work best with HomeKit.
Hesperus is here to make your life easier. It offers an interactive scene editor that allows you to create and edit HomeKit scenes in a straightforward way. The created scenes can be executed by Siri or in the app with a single swipe. Hesperus also offers the ability to automatically activate the scenes based on time, location or other accessories’ state changes. With a few taps, you can automate a lot of repeated tasks in your daily life.
*** Hesperus only works with HomeKit-compatible accessories. iCloud Keychain is required by HomeKit to work with iCloud. Some features may require extra hardware to support. ***

Great could be better
This is a great app for HomeKit it does things that the Apple Home app does not. I use it to automate actions based on humidity such as turning on fans and turning them off based on humidity and or temperatures. If rooms would be added it would be a 4 star as it’s hard to see which devices are which (I have 28 HomeKit devices) and to make it 5 starts I would say address the issue with automations being deleted. Once programmed after a few days most are deleted and I have to re add them. This takes time give how many devices I have and the actions I set for example if bathroom humidity is above 68% turn on fan if it goes below 65% turn off fan. So overall a great app and even if it was for sale vs free I would pay but once the bugs have been worked out.
Great app limited by easy to fix interface issue
This apps interface generally works great. It has one significant issue interface-wise however. All the accessories shown in the app do not have their room on them in the main screen and also in the automation screen. This means that if you have a ton of accessories all called “Lights”, one in each room, you can’t tell them apart without renaming them temporarily in the Apple home app. All you need to do is include the room name in those places!
Robust but cumbersome and glitchy
When I downloaded this app to control the slew of Philips hues I have in my home I was impressed by the feature set it offered and looked forward to using it. Set up was a bit time consuming, as you have to define each bulb individually with no option that I've noticed to copy/paste settings from one bulb to the next or batch set groups of bulbs. Once set up the app worked beautifully...until it didn't. Inexplicably, scenes would have all do their actions wiped. Attempting to add actions to them again met with failure and only deleting the scene and recreating it would allow me to set the scene up without issue. Which, again, is a time consuming process. The same scenes would again have their actions removed again after a few days of working properly. I don't know if this is an issue with the application or some conflict within HomeKit itself that is causing it, but the lack of transparency over what is occurring here is frustrating since, again, setting up scenes is a time consuming process. Also, I've had no luck using the geofencing function of the app to automatically turn the lights on and off when leaving and returning from home. I think the app has a lot of potential and would gladly purchase it if the wrinkles were ironed out, but as it stands, I've begun to look for alternate methods for controlling my home lighting system.
