Incredible game
Playing this game was so much fun, I was really disappointed when the message appeared that I had gone through all of the levels and that the game was finished. I was cheered to learn that new ones could be added later or older ones amended though. This can't be soon enough! I loved the simplicity of the black and white line art, the playfulness of the animation and how everything increased as Hidden Folks progressed. By paying attention to the descriptions, I was able to find all the hidden objects on each level; it was a struggle for some things, made only possible by scrolling, enlarging, closely examining the art and figuring out the description's clues. You'll find that you'll need to move manhole covers, get everyone in a crowd to dance, open doors, move clouds, get rabbits to pop out of holes, etc. The creativity, thought and all the work that went into developing this game is truly amazing. So Far, Awesome
I just finished the campground. It's soooo adorable, fun, and full of little surprises. It really is an age-less treat!
** update: still playing sporadically, almost finished the stages. I love how the levels get more complex and also add the bits you found into the little cutscenes. It's SO fun. You can be age 5 or 85, it's really just so fun, I kept smiling. I also like how it makes you remember how every person in a chaotic, churning city has individuals with their own stories. Maybe one day they could add a COLOR addition? That would be awesome (like where's Waldo, it actually makes it harder!) AND, I LOVE the sound effects (how the volume lowers and raises when you zoom), and the little extra cute sound effects.
Update: I'm in this Giant Lab/Science expo (I think) and WOW. This truly is like an interactive Where's Waldo but so much better. If I could give it 6 stars I would! Great for ALL ages. Maybe add achievements?? Thank you for a great game for an affordable price!
An excellent game to bring people together!
Saying this game is like Where's Waldo? is a huge understatement! The moment I opened the game I felt the need to grab a family member just to share my animated discoveries. Within minutes, my wife and son were huddled around me tapping away!
The game is hand drawn but more importantly, all of its audio is filled in with the developer's voice. Car horns, monkeys, water drops, wind...they're ALL done vocally! It really does make Hidden Folks more than just a game. It's more like having a silly friend you can always count on. I highly recommend this game for human beings (especially those living with other humans. I do not recommend this to my canine readers, as we all know, touch screens are not for you. However, declawed feline readers seem to enjoy this game just as much, if not more, than their human roommates.
