Ratings and Reviews

Simple. Effective. Realistic.

Awe Heal

Having used several Apps to learn Hiragana, I give this App a 5 star rating for the following reasons:
1- Its FREE! Thank you so much to the developers for their hard work. As a result, I could quickly master the Hiragana Syllabary. FREE matters and helped to encourage me to use this App and learn. Thank you.
2- UserInterface (UI) is intuitive and streamlined. The App has a clean, minimal look and feel. A beginner can start using the App upon first opening. No gimmicks.
3- The App works by using 10 “Flashcards” at a time which does not overwhelm the user. Because the cards are multiple choice, the user “eventually” can advance to the next card easily. Once ten card characters are answered correctly, the user can “reset” the deck for 10 more cards. Very simple and straightforward.
4- Mimicking BRUSHSTROKES, the App’s characters challenge you to look at the characters as if they are painted and not typed. Many times I was stumped because of this BRUSHSTROKE TECHNIQUE. Also too, this App motivated me to learn Japanese Calligraphy using brush and ink. Well done, developers! Thank you.
5- This is a quick learning tool. Because of the aforementioned ease of use and “10 card chunks”, I was able to learn on the go.

In short, this App deserves your consideration if you want to quickly learn and recognize Hiragana Calligraphy.
