Ratings and Reviews

Great Start

This app is a good start, with the potential to become fantastic.

Some suggestions:

- Add a setting (or make it default behavior) to expand all comments for HN discussions. Many HN users read the comments more often than the articles themselves, and having to manually expand deep threads is tedious.

- Add another theme that’s less dark than the current dark theme. I prefer using dark themes where available, how the dark theme here is too dark for the fonts to be readable.

- Consider changing the font type and weight on homepage. As it is, it’s not very friendly towards me skimming through headlines quickly. Also, consider making the homepage more dense, i.e. so that more stories appear on the screen at one time.

- Fetch and cache article comments for offline reading. At least for bookmarked discussions. Again, HN comments are the best part!

- Consider adding the ability to hide an article on the homepage by swiping left on it.

- The text at the bottom of the login page abruptly cuts off (iPhone 7+ w/ iOS 11.2.5).

- Add ability to comment.

Things I love about the app as it is:

- Built-in reader mode
- It’s fast
- Local bookmarking ability

Thanks for the slick HN reader app!
