Description

Most people will not be able to do a lot with a DDP image. For burning such an image to CD or even for listening to it you will need a very specialized software that might be too expensive for that purpose. HOFA DDP Player is a simple and quite inexpensive alternative.

Features:
• Playback of DDP images for CD-A
• simple handling, clear representation
• Display of CD-Text, UPC/EAN and ISRC
• Track transition playback function
• Support for Japanese CD-Text
• Peak & EBU loudness meter
• Goniometer
• Support for multisession DDP images (CD-A + CD-ROM)
• Validation of MD5 checksums
• Optional: Function for burning DDP images to CD-A and for exporting tracks as Wave, Aiff, FLAC, Ogg-Vorbis and MP3 files is available as in-app purchase (requires OS X version 10.7 or higher!)

What’s New

Version 2.0.5

- Allow loading DDPs that use a 12-digit UPC without a leading 0.
- Added some more error messages to clarify why an invalid DDP image could not be imported.

Easy DDP Player

I tried a few of the free DDP Players. This is a great DDP player for checking a DDP once you get it back from your mastering engineer before finally sending the DDP off to the CD printer.

Not great

This app loaded in all the files and I could play them no problem. However, I could not burn a CD with the additional purchase of the CD burner. I tried for two days and numerous blank CDs. Ended up spending more money on the Sonoris DDP player and was able to burn a CD in a flash. If you think you are saving money like me and want to buy this app, good luck.
