Home – Smart Home Automation
By Matthias Hochgatterer
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Home is the only full featured HomeKit app on the App Store which supports all HomeKit features – including scenes and triggers. You can control all your HomeKit accessories from different manufacturers in one app.
Home allows you to create timer and event triggers. For example an event trigger raises the room temperature when you leave the office after sunset only if the current temperature is lower than 20°C.
You can control multiple accessories at once using Groups. For example you can turn on all lights in the living room and set the brightness to 50%.
Your most important services, groups and scenes can be marked as favorite. Favorites are listed in the Today View and on Apple Watch.
You can access your HomeKit accessories remotely by enabling Remote Access in iOS Settings > Home and by having a 3rd generation Apple TV connected to your local network.
3D Touch Support
Use Quick Actions to execute your scenes right from the Home screen on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Take a quick look at your accessories using Peek and Pop.
Outlets and light bulbs can now be control using swipe actions. You can toggle the power state by swiping to the left. Swiping to the right lets you quickly change the brightness of lights.
The Home app only works with HomeKit compatible accessories.
What's New in Version 2.1.5
- Supports iHome Smart Monitor: You can now change the Ambient Light Detection Threshold and the sound detector service is now available under the Services tab.
- Supports Eve Motion
- Unblocking of bridged accessory now works again
This app is phenomenal
If you have multiple HomeKit accessories from different OEMs or a large home with many rooms, this app is a must have. $15 might seem like a lot, but this app is incredibly powerful, takes full advantage of your HomeKit hub's automation capabilities, and makes Apple's Home app seem useless by comparison.
Get this app. Spend the money. You won't regret it.
Well made and useful app
Using this on Lutron lights, and it works very well. Developer is also quite responsive. $15 is a lot, but this is a full featured Homekit app regardless of the brand of your devices.
Update: the robust support iHome's smart sensor is very impressive. iHome said that their sound detectors weren't supported by HomeKit, yet I can now use them as triggers in HomeKit thanks to this app!
