Home is a unique horror adventure set in a beautifully-realized pixel world. It’s a murder mystery with a twist—because you decide what ultimately happens.
Awakened by an oncoming storm, you open your eyes to discover yourself in a strange, dark room—tucked away in a house that’s not yours.
As you play the game, it changes—subtly, almost imperceptibly—to reflect your perspective. It's a horror game unlike any other, and as you'll discover, its truths are entirely subjective.
- an intimate, story-based adventure that you control
- a horrific mystery tale where your decisions matter
- a creepy soundtrack that brings you deep into the world
- gorgeous, illustrative pixel style
"A sophisticated, horrifying narrative experiment."
- The Verge/Polygon
"Keeps you intellectually engaged even when you aren't playing it."
"[Home] serves as a great reminder of what older games once taught us."
"Leaves one mulling its final moments well after the credits have rolled."

- fixed a few minor animation issues
Not sure why all the hate
I guess some people were expecting something different, but I did my research before buying and I found it to be a very immersive (and unnerving) experience. The story is extremely well done which I won't spoiler, but it honestly gives way for discussion and contemplation on what happened. Sound effects are top notch that add to the atmosphere. This is definitely a horror game, but more of a psychological horror game. It just may not be the kind of horror you are looking for, so make sure you do your research first. But I truly loved the whole experience and cant wait to play through again and see what different outcomes there could be. This is a smart horror game done right.
Good story but not a horror game
I believe that this was a very touching story and if you got really in depth with the gameplay you might understand it. Although I do admit that a lot of questions were not answered and some of the choices were slightly obvious and I don't think that it had too much part in the actual story or gameplay. Besides all of the few bad things, overall this was a great story for me and if you play this game all at once it is easier to understand. Buy this game only if you like a suspenseful slightly touching and unanswered story line.
Lots of potential
Luckily I always read plenty of reviews before purchasing any apps so I was already aware that this game was more of a puzzle game than anything else. The sound effects and visuals are top notch but like many others said, practically no questions have been answered and can be confusing if you're not paying attention to where you're going but it's a simple game & had it been longer it would have been a grand slam. Good job!
