SMH 🤦‍♂️


This is what I like to call a Will It App! Will it work? Will it let me login? Will it freeze? I mean before HomeTrust took over my checking account from Bank of America; I never had issues retrieving or reviewing my accounts with Bank of America’s App. Now with HomeTrust; I have had nothing but problems from the HomeTrust App, to the HomeTrust mobile banking webpage, to even HomeTrust Bank itself. The HomeTrust Mobile Banking App is a coin flip on rather or not you can access your account. From; information provided is incorrect, to as my current problem it want go any further than the starting screen. It won’t even give me the opportunity to even login. It’s just stuck on the Welcome Screen. The inside of my local HomeTrust Bank doesn’t even look like a Bank at all. They still have Christmas Decorations up and it’s the middle of July. How can I trust a financial institution that doesn’t have a working Mobile Banking App or website nor takes the time to make the inside of their banks look esthetically pleasing to their customers. The app doesn’t work half the time, the online banking doesn’t work half the time, and the local branch just acts like they don’t won’t to work half the time. I myself would not recommend HomeTrust. I think a lot went wrong when Bank of America sold out to HomeTrust and they have yet to correct these wrongs. I just feel like they quit trying or caring.

This app constantly locks me out of my account despite my using the correct user id and password. On certain days I just cannot access my account I will have to wait an entire day just to be able to log in again. The ‘log in timeout’ is creating a glitch that locks me out of my account EVEN WHEN I USE THE CORRECT USER ID AND PASSWORD. Other issues have complained about the timeout thing. Even when I hit ‘forgot password’, the app tells me the answer to my security question was incorrect which I know it was not. I have the user ID, Password, security questions and answers for this account all written down. I know I am entering accurate information, yet I am still locked out of my account. I am bearing the consequences of YOUR poor coding and web design. Fix it. Now.

Many glitches.


The latest is that when I go to log in (hoping to use Touch ID) I get a message that I was logged out for time issues. First time I wondered if I had indeed forgotten to log myself out. Happens every time now and I am very careful to follow the logout procedure.
Also far too many occasions when the app opens with a message that it has ‘connectivity issues’. Back to typing password.
Kinda makes me wonder how well security is being handled????

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused and are continuously working to prevent this from happening in the future.
