Honey Heroes is the latest mobile game craze, available for iOS, Android, and Facebook. It's not your average tile based puzzler, but a unique variation on the theme that sees honeybees pollinating flowers to fill the honey bear. It's beautifully addictive.
Hailed as the thinking player’s Candy Crush, Players work with honey bees, dragonflies, butterflies and grasshoppers to clear tiles. Honey Heroes does require a bit more brain power than other games in the same genre, so it’s more suited to players who aren’t afraid to think.
Unlike other tile based games, Honey Heroes is not a match 3 style game. This unique game mechanic uses one-to-one correspondence to match the correct combination of flowers. The more flowers you pollinate the more honey you collect and the faster you progress.
Each level of Honey Heroes is slightly different, whether you have to fill the honey bear within a certain number of moves, achieve a certain point-score within a given amount of time, or unleash the adorably critters to help clear tiles in their own unique ways . It requires a degree of logic that keeps you entertained through Honey Heroes more than 80 levels, which encompass three game style mechanics: Combination, Straight Line, and ZigZag.
You're awarded up to three stars for your performance within each level, and you can return to any previous level in hope of achieving a perfect score.
Honey Heroes offers you five chances to screw up and, once you've run out of lives, you must either put down the game and wait for your health to be replenished, stock up by begging your Facebook friends for more or forking out real cash. This becomes a problem only when you get reasonably far into Honey Heroes and the difficulty ramps up, at which point the countless entirely free alternatives start to become attractive.
Various upgrades can be unlocked in the Bee Shop or collected in game: the lives booster boosts your extra lives store by 5 (no limit); clear pesticides booster clears a pesticide tile, Extra moves/time gives you 5 more steps or more time, clear web booster clears the web tiles and those pesky spiders, etc . Playing the game this way will cost money but, unless you have a serious honey sweet tooth, you needn't part with any money. If you're giving this game to a child to play, you can disable in-app purchases in your device's settings.
What's really neat about Honey Heroes, though, is the ability to pick it up and continue your game wherever you are and on whatever device you have to hand. Simply connect via your Facebook account and continue your game as you switch from iTunes to Google Play to Facebook. Facebook interaction also enables you to compete with friends, without spamming their inbox.
This cross-platform support is partly what makes Honey Heroes so addictive: when your phone runs out of juice you just pick up the tablet, and when that squeals 'charge me' you turn on the PC.
However, Honey Heroes is also popular with users because it's simple enough that anyone can pick it up and get started without instruction(although help is provided in the form of in-game tutorials), yet sufficiently difficult that you won't simply breeze through the game in an hour.
As an added bonus, you can help keep the bee’s buzzing. To combat the disappearance of honey bees, a live bee is donated every time a golden bee is found in the game. You are literally helping to save the bees by playing Honey Heroes.
Translations are built in and will auto-detect Spanish, German, French, Italian, and both Brazilian and Portugal Portuguese players.
1) You have to select all tiles in one movement by tapping and dragging. You cannot select tiles individually.
2) Often there is more than one option, some being better than others. Choose carefully.
3) Turn up/down volume and SFX independently in the settings menu.
4) The quicker you make a match the more points that are awarded.
5) Finding equivalent ratios creates wild tiles.

A Must Have !
***Updated since I found more great stuff!
****TLDR: Fantastic game, by playing you help give back to others. Download, support the game, tell all your friends.
This is one of the BEST matching games I have ever come across!
I thought the game couldn't get any better since it has :
Smooth game play
Quick end of levels
Reasonably priced power ups
The ability to earn power ups during game play
But then I found a Golden Bee
The game developers donate a real bee (or the equivalent money value) to bee keepers who have been through hard times whenever you find one of these golden bees! How fantastic is that?
The two things that I think need a little work is that it is a little hard to find which level you're on when you come back to the game on the IPhone. Maybe have the current level blink or raise up to show where it is.
And the second is to make the frozen and pesticide tiles a little more noticeable. When there are lady bugs or bees on those tiles, it makes it really hard to tell which ones are frozen or have pesticide.
Just a thought on something that would be nice to add, is how many golden bees the player has found. Just a running total on the home screen maybe?
Thanks devs for such a wonderful game and thanks for allowing us to help give back!
Download this fantastic game now, tell all your friends, and buy some power ups to support this awesome game!
Just "Bee" happy
This app restored my faith in humanity and playing it was a truly humbling experience. One of the best quotes to describe this game is "But the Lord came down to see the graphics and the game the people were building. The Lord said, “If as one people playing the same game they have begun to do this, then nothing they play will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and disconnect their game so they will not play with each other.” This shows that even the lord believed this game was too powerful for humanity but it has found its way into our hearts and into this store. "Bee" prepared to reach enlightenment.
