What's New in Version 4.5.1
Fixed an issue with some comics not opening properly.
I've not been using this long. I got it because the book I wanted to borrow from my library wasn't available on the overdrive service my library also uses and I was happy being able to get Kindle versions from.
For a free service, this is a great app with good settings to adjust the screen to make your eyes the most comfortable. The only thing I am. It happy with is an apparent glitch that forces you to exit the book and re enter to get to the next chapter when you reach the end of a chapter. Perhaps it's just the book I'm reading that has this glitch. Aside from that small annoyance, the app is great. I especially like that the "page numbers" are really my screen pages so I know exactly how many are left of the current chapter I'm reading. Something that does not hold true to kindle.
Great titles, little quirks
This app has many good titles in paranormal and fantasy. Other library apps tend to have few good audiobooks. You can check them out for 21 days and it has good sound quality.
The downfall is that if you stop listening to a book for a while, then it won't start again until you close the app and reopen it. It is annoying but knowing about it helps.
Overall the quality of the app is great but it would be nice to not have to close and open all the time.
It also doesn't allow you to chose your audio source. You have to shut off your Bluetooth if you want to switch to speaker and usually have to close and open the app in between.
I Live On This App
I can't believe how much I use this app. I'm on it all the time. Be it listening to audiobooks in my car, reading graphic novels on lunch breaks, taking ebooks on vacation, streaming videos at home, it's probably my most used app. It's been very good at remembering where I leave off, has an intuitive interface, offers a great selection, and items are always available. What's not to love? My only real complaint is that I hardly ever make it into my physical library anymore because this app makes so much available at my fingertip. Great app!
