Use it for what it is .. play your part
I like hopper. You can't rely on it solely you still gotta do your research and look on other website. A lot of people simply reply on the app to do the work and get mad when they book at a higher price. Yes the hopper price is $20-$30 more cause they gotta get paid too duuuh? You really thought it was FREE. And if you do some research before installing the app you will find out that of course it doesn't include all airlines like delta and smaller carriers. Even big names like Expedia don't because smaller carriers don't have the means or simply prefer to not advertise with 3rd party. Use hopper as a guide, and just like everything else in life you are taking a chance. When you see the price, get the flight info and go book directly on the carriers website.. overall it's a good app, I travel a lot and rely on hopper for price prediction.
Disappointing to say the least
I got this app hoping that it would track the cheapest prices across all airlines so that I would be able to find affordable flights to go back and forth between visiting my boyfriend. Needless to say, it was abysmal! For one particular weekend, it kept prompting me to "Buy now because it's likely pricing will continue to rise!" The flight is about an hour long and over the span of a weekend that I was looking for, and it told me the cheapest price was $339. I found the exact same dates on Google flights for $98. I would not recommend this app to anyone, especially after reading reviews that they don't include all airlines. I now know this to be true because I booked my flight on allegiant and that airline was not included in the results my search on this app was showing me. DO NOT GET OR YOU WILL OVERPAY. You can use it for comparison purposes, but I strongly recommend comparing your results to google flights to make sure you are getting the cheapest price possible.
One thing which makes it useless for booking bigger parties. I need to book 6 tickets in the same flight and while cheaper option is shown by hopper, it only has 2 seats. So there must be option for selecting and watch required seats and traveler type (adult, child, senior etc) if they ever hope to make this app one stop shop for airline tickets.
Otherwise Quite a good app. Gives you good predictability about price.
Would have been more awesome if able to set reminder for a certain price level or book flight automatically once a threshold price is reached.
