Basically MMX with Hot Wheels
MMX Hill Climb is a fun game, but it's also very challenging. Controlling your vehicle's balance all while trying to make sure you don't run out of fuel makes for a fun challenge. But if there isn't enough corporate advertising in MMXHC to suit your needs, then try Hot Wheels Race-Off. Being an avid Hot Wheels fan for almost all my life, I thought I'd try this out. And yeah...it's alright I guess. This game is literally MMXHC with Mattel's corporate spunk all over it. Tracks are now replaced with iconic orange track, the trucks replaced with a pretty weak selection of cars from the 2016 series, and the difficulty raised to an absurd level. That's not to say it's bad, because it isn't, it's just to say that this game's target audience is kids. Should a game with unforgiving difficulty and lingering micro-transactions be marketed towards kids? No. It should not. As if the Gameloft MLP game wasn't already a game designed to lure kids into begging their parents to buy micro-dlc for them, now we have this. I guess it's not the worst game ever from a business standpoint, but overall, its target audience is a bit off. I'd say to only play this if you're okay with corporate greed, or just a die-hard fan of Hot Wheels. Other than that, just skip it and play MMX.
Very nice game, detail and physics are quite good. Another recent reviewer said "the game was made by a moron" because it didn't match Newton's law. Apparently that individual doesn't realize that hitting your brakes in the air DOES actually tip your vehicle forward and accelerating in the air tips you back IRL. Try driving a scale RC model sometime and experiment with this. I'd say the devs did a fine job. If someone had to sit down and build a game like this from scratch they'd be shocked at how much time and money goes into a little app like this, they are not easy to make.
I recently got all of my friends to play hot wheels and it is an amazing game. It is addictive and fun and my most used game app. I'm going be sad when i finish every level with 3 stars and get every car like I am aiming to do. The game was created well and I have experienced no bugs. The graphics are good and I love the different kinds of cars. Over all it is an amazing game. By the way I am in high school. This game is for everyone. I have not spent any money yet in this game and I am very far, only playing for less than a month.
