From time immemorial people believe that seven visible planets rule days and hours and that they can help in human endeavours if a certain activity is undertaken in a correct day and hour. Nowadays this ancient belief is used by many people to acheve success in their everyday life and in their spiritual pursuits.
However, calculating planetary hours takes a bit of effort as you need to know the time of sunrise for the given location, as well as the correct sequence of planets. This is where Hours comes to help: it can calculate and display a table of planetary hours for any day in a wide range of years and for any location.
What's New in Version 2.0.3
Fixed a couple of bugs that caused displaying initially a wrong planetary day and highlighting a wrong hour as a current, in some regions of the World.
Added a hi-res icon.
Was pretty helpful
The only problem I really have with this app is that it does not have my specific location and I have to choose a completely different (and far away) city with the same time zone..I tried using the "Find out the current location" feature but it just gives me "unidentified location" lol Well other than that it's a pretty good app :)
Converting to Custom is not an Option
It would be helpful if, after choosing a country and city, you could secure it as a custom location. This doesn't appear to allow that. It would also help if it was integrated with a world map so you could select out of the way places not in the app's list, and calculate from Long/Lat off that map.
The first hour for feb 9th, a monday, is shown on the app as being ruled by the sun. This is incorrect, as being a monday it should be the moon. Likewise, the first hour of feb 10th 2015, a tuesday, is shown as being ruled by the moon, whereas it should be ruled by mars ( as it's a tuesday). A bug this bad makes it unusable. It was working fine yesteraday.
