Great app, but needs refinement
This is a great app if you are at all interested in utilization of sUAVs. The best value for me is the compiled news sources. I've not found another single source of related info. However, it took me more time than I'd care to admit to realize that I could personalize the news sources and even longer to realize flight maps were available. I'm disappointed in the flight maps as it merely redirected to a non-mobile optimized site. That's worth a standalone app in opinion, and the reason I'm giving this 4 stars.
Edit 5/9/15. I like the update. The map is better in the sense that it's no longer a redirect to a non mobile formatted site. I feel like it's less detailed though. I live near a park that is partly included in the local airport's no fly zone. I'd never be able to tell that looking at this map.
Very solid app
This is a simple and useful app, however the wind indicator is confusing, and contrary to convention. When there is, for example, a South wind, the app shows a compass with an arrow pointed to the South. Standard convention dictates the arrow be pointing in the direction the wind is blowing, not the direction it is coming from. In other words, a South wind means the wind is blowing FROM the South, yet this app appears to show the wind blowing TO the South, or in other words, a North wind, which is inaccurate.
Other than this, I have found this to be a handy app to use in planning a drone flight. I will use it, even, to determine if I should even venture outside to fly.
Great app. Needs localized wind readings.
Would like to see wind readings tied into weather underground readings. Are the KP readings accurate? Seems like other apps tell me 2-3, while this sits at 0-1. Would like different color schemes for the main screen. Would also like to see the timer fixed so setting it to 10 minutes, running it, and hitting reset goes back to 10 minutes.
