This app is great.
I am so glad I was able to take this HP printer out of the box, connect it to my network, and print nice images using my IPhone without getting my laptop or desktop involved. This app made everything so much easier. I'm kind of getting annoyed with it constantly asking me to install HP Remote Printing, since I have no use for that. I'm just not that busy a printer. If You want to improve the app, I would give an option to use a blank page and copy images from IPhoto library and resize them free size how we like, as many images as I'd like on that one page. It is only allowing me to work with one image on a page at a time. Overall, I like that I can reshape and resize the one image. A light contrast slide would be nice as well. It makes images from my Facebook account look much darker printed than with the same image from my IPhoto Library.
It works ok. Don't like forced pop up to buy ink.
Despite appreciating this app. It is hard to give it more stars when printing in black-and-white a pop up in the middle of the page tells me if I am low on any ink. I cannot get rid of The pop up window which is in the middle of the page, unless I click on the link to buy the printer ink.!!! Three stars for this alone.
I do like being able to get a better formatted print out. It would be nice if there was an option to do my own formatting -if nothing else page breaks.
Also having an issue with it printing double-sided even though that option is turned off. Going into settings and turning it on and turning it off again sometimes works but not guaranteed.
Works well but a tad clumsy
The app itself works quite well. I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476dn ethernet-connected to an Apple Airport Express access point. AirPrinting works better (i.e.: I have more consistent success) when done directly through this app rather than through my iPhone 6 Plus's integrated "Print" functionality. I hope to see this get better so I no-longer need this app.
Also, I can't scan to email directly from my HP printer (printer screen says I can't scan to email until I set-up LDAP). And that's not going to happen. I can however, use this nifty app to scan (and I can choose to see a preview of each scan right on my iPhone--slick!). Once scanned, this app will then allow me to email my scan from there, or simply save it directly to Dropbox or Drive--a nice little shortcut).
Minus 1-star for the headache experienced when trying to set-up secure "cloud" printing as this app refused to connect. I guess this HP is a little too secure? I digress.
All-in-all, this app is not too shabby.
