Fixes for several bugs including Newsstand icons not updating, blank cover thumbnails, download issues. Thanks for all the feedback and love!
Good content + Easy navigation = WIN
I'm an avid visitor of the Huffington website so I was interested in checking out the magazine. I find the navigation to be easy and enjoy the content. It is one of the few news magazines that is a captivating read even if I'm a few weeks behind on the issues. Sometimes I find the content more focused on popular celebrity or novelty of the day without an added level of analysis or commentary that could add perspective. I love the richness of the presentation, though, with text, photos graphics and video. The in depth articles are your strength!!
I really like the Huffington Post but .....
I read Huff Post because I agree with its politics and they have several great columnists. However, they really need to upgrade their technology. The magazine takes too long to download. I'm usually busy and just don't have 5 or 6 minutes to wait for it. It's just easier to go to the website.
I usually go to the website several times per week and, inevitably, at least once a week, I am asked to sign up and am then not permitted to log on.
Lastly, the pictorial essays just don't work. No matter how hard I try, I can never get the pictures and the descriptions to be in sync.
This is my first experience with a Newsstand product, and I like the maneuverability of the magazine. It's not what I expected for a magazine, i.e., to be able to link to the internet for side articles, as opposed to reading the front page articles in the magazine itself, but it is perfectly appropriate for the Huffington Post where its main, daily reporting is done. It's a model of efficiency that I can't argue with: Don't do more work than you have to.
