Stunning, but a few problems
Ok so I have gotten the megalodon shark after countless hours of monotonous gameplay to retrieve enough coins to finally get the shark, I was however disappointed by how fast the health deteriorated, the great white shark had a much slower rate of lost health through not eating. I had a chance to explore. With the megalodon it's much harder to go deeper where there is less fish to eat. The coins are also take way to long to get, it's more than a couple months of intensive gameplay. I got tired of it after awhile. But the plus is that the graphics are amazing. But I honestly think the sharks are too hard to get and save up for. Another huge and annoying problem I have are the special sharks. It's absolutely ridiculous and absurd that their level ups are not saved. Why is it that every time I wantbro use thenice shark or electric shark, I have to start at level 1 again?! Boring and frustrating. Also like me, I've been playing for a couple of years, there needs to be more new predators and a map update or expansion. I used to love the game, but now it's just a game on my phone that just kind of sits there hoping it will bring some more interesting features. Don't get me wrong it's a lot of fun for awhile. But for longtime players.. Needs more. Now I have a new problem, you've made the legislation much smaller.... So newer sharks could be bigger... Ugh wth is the point of that....
Interesting but costly
Logged about 20 hours into this game. Everything seems to cost a lot of in game while the earned coin rate is pretty low. If you would like to use your wallet to try and move things along a bit, be prepared to spend a lot to get very little. Out of curiosity I bought some gems to buy a premium shark to see what they were like and was not impressed at all. The Sharks that I earned in game actually seemed to work better. So although they seem to sell you a better, neater looking product, the devs are really just adding content to make more cash. I normally do not mind this type of thing but given the cost, I expected a lot more bang for my buck. Gems are also extremely slow to earn while you need a ton of them to buy anything useful. I categorize this game under the could have been great if the devs were not trying to make clash of clans money.
On the other side of the coin, the gameplay is decent enough and will offer you some entertainment. For me it's not a game that I crave to play and cannot log long sessions but if you're looking to kill a few minutes here and there, it'll get the job done and there are a lot worse games out there you could be wasting time on.
For me there seemed to be too much greed put behind their IAP strategy to give this any higher rating.
Fun game with minor concerns
You I luv luv luv this game! I have the Sharks reef through dunkleosteus and so far everything is good. One warning is once you get megalodon and dunkleosteus your health goes away like heck. Otherwise I love the game and I'm just working on getting all the special sharks and so far I have ice and electric. A few updates ago the game would crash on me but thankfully FGOL fixed that. I will agree with many people on once you get the great white, the Sharks beyond that go up in price by quite a lot. I would give this game five stars though and FGOL add new sharks too! Also to those of you who just started, pretend you didn't hear me about the megalodon and dunkleosteus. They are secret sharks! Shhhhhhhh... 😝
