Hunters 2 in the press:
"Hunters 2, with its 2D top down view has an excellent interface and control system compared to the others. It makes the pace of the game faster, allowing you to concentrate on those interesting decisions rather than battling with controls. It shows a real appreciation for good mobile-oriented design." - Julian Gollop, Creator of XCOM
“Hunters 2 is an exciting and ambitious strategy game with deep RPG elements.” - Slide To Play
“ I would even go so far to say that Hunters 2 is up there with my personal favourites of the genre, Sabre Team and UFO: Enemy Unknown.” - TheSmartPhoneAppReview

What's New in Version 1.0.2
Better, But Still Room For Improvement
I had mixed feeling about Ep 1 - initially seemed very dull, but the tactical depth became apparent in time. So I didn't have the same initial disappointment this time, and while the skimpy campaign is, well, skimpy, the bulk of the game is still in the daily missions. You'll get bored very quickly just replaying the campaign missions to get your team in shape for the later ones. New weapons, marginally better graphics, and it's nice to be able to build up a larger team, and the limitations of available recruits adds something - no teams of optimized clones.
The level 10 limit is understandable, but the complete elimination of all stats at that point is annoying - OK, so maybe I'm not going to get any more experience, but I'd still like to see the numbers. The other big annoyance are the "second objectives". "Take no damage" is impossible in many missions, but far too common, while "Kill Only 8 Enemies" is just plain weird - when you need to get past 30 of the things, and sneaking is *not* an option, what are you supposed to do? And why? Are the slobbering aliens endangered? Maybe a species that blows itself up not just for defense, but also as an attack deserves to be endangered?
Still, more good fun, I'll be interested to see what Ep 3 brings. Oh, and the music in this one is worthy of a mention - suits the mood of the game nicely.
Wish there was multiplayer
What would make this game better is if there was an arena mode where you could set up a challenge between hunter groups for controll over territories and have sort of like a online player based campaign you'd earn credits for winning matches and other things. One thing more, there should be a option to buy ariel bombardment from your ship, it would be bought with in-game money and shouldn't be overly expensive, maybe 25,000 for a single strike oh and about the ship, on the home screen where the armory and the bridge and it's showing the backside of your ship? Well it should slowly give a 360• spin and be able to customize it a change it's color so it's destinguishable from other peoples, you would buy this from in-game money and the option to make alliances in the multi should be an option with special markings that the players make or find . The ships should be able to battle like the people to in the same style only live action. Please make these changes I know I might be the only one but the can be options to be turned off so please
Wonderful, polished game with personality, some issues with UI
They nailed it with this one in many ways, it has held my attention long past most games for the iPad. The perks, skills and upgrades give players a great deal of control over their playing style, and that is a very good thing.
It's tense, gritty and highly tactical. One false move can ruin you.
I am admittedly a highly critical reviewer, but only bother to review titles which have so much potential that one or two things are holding them back from excellence; this is one of those games. In my experience at least, because things can get screwed up pretty quickly, it becomes clear that it's time for a restart of the level, only to do that you have to click through several dialogs to get out and then start the mission over from the beginning, which means waiting as the whole lead-in and mission explanation plays out, since there is no 'Skip' button. I have gotten as efficient as I can at moving through this, but it definitely creates an unwanted interruption; that said, this is a no-brainer at $1 as others have said, I'm going back to playing it now.
