Description

Hush City: the app to find and map the quietness around you!

This app will help you find the quiet spots in your neighbourhood where you can relax, enjoy time with your kids or simply have a peaceful conversation. Enjoy slowing down!

Joining the community is simple.
• Go to your favourite quiet spot
• Record its sounds
• Take a picture of it
• Review it
• Share it with others

Or find a quiet spot near you at any time, by using the app. Go to it and enjoy the quietness.

With this app, you are an active part of worldwide research to map quietness in cities.
Our cities have become increasingly noisier by the hour. Only in Europe, over 125 million people are affected by noise pollution from traffic every year, and apparently, quietness is becoming a luxury available only for a few of us.
With Hush City quietness is available for all those who appreciate it.

You can learn more about the project at www.opensourcesoundscapes.org: where citizen science meets soundscape research.

Please be aware that noise levels measured by the mobile app, may not be entirely accurate, depending on which smartphones are used, weather conditions and other factors.
