Customer Reviews

Great product, room for improvement

got the iBaby camera for our first born and have put it to the test for the past few weeks since his birth. We preferred a method to watch our son without a standalone monitor and figured since we're an apple family it was well worth a try given its competitive $90 price; despite the unfavored reviews regarding its functionality.
I can say now after our trial period so far we have not had any connection errors, while on wifi or 4g- and the camera puts out a pretty good signal in both lit and dark situations- equal to greater the quality of similar higher priced monitoring devices. I would assume that the problems most are experiencing are likely due to their routers inability to handle the bandwidth. We have been using it with iPhones version 4,5 & 6's stationed in each room of the home, two at a time and streaming tv's simultaneously with no errors at all.

to the developer: only bug we've had is if while in landscape mode, which we have the phones positioned to keep it plugged in- pressing the sleep timer button freezes the screen at the timer and you'll have to force quit and restart in portrait to stop it and gain access to view again. this is quite frustrating to tired parents with weak motor skills 😜
would rate at ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if this was gone!

Used to be awesome

I have had this monitor for 18 months. At first I loved it! There were kinks here and there but an update always came out shortly after it began, and it corrected them. Well now since the last update in February, I believe, it doesn't work properly on my iPad. When I try to rotate the screen to switch views it cuts half of it off. The sound button doesn't work so I can not activate the sound unless I spin it around. Also once I activate the sound it just gives static white noise sound. I have added a whole new wireless network just for this device and that didn't fix anything. I have emailed customer support and received no response... I loved the older version but this new on stinks. I am strongly considering getting rid of this and purchasing one of the many other camera monitors out there. The point of a monitor is to be able to hear your baby... I just have to wait for mine to start moving enough because she's so upset and then the motion alarm will go off....

All Bad!

I've had the monitor & apps for 9 months-- it's all been nothing but bad. The monitor is horrible at holding a wifi connection. The apps are a joke on iPad or iPhone. On iPad it cuts off part of the screen unless you open it in portrait mode, if you open it in landscape mode it cuts half of the screen off. It constantly loses connection. The best part is the visual- it's better than any other monitor I've seen/used. The connection issues drive me nuts. If it happens while your little is asleep you have to creep into their room power cycle the monitor & cover it with a blanket since it beeps very loudly when it tries to reconnect. This is not mommy or baby friendly. Would absolutely not recommend.
