A Great Start!

At first I was puzzled why this functionality was not immediately included in the regular Connections app. But when creating a new document I found it was very easy - 2 taps and I was taking notes on my iPad. When I was done, the Word doc showed up in My Files. Beautiful!

However, the app at 1.0.0 does have some rough edges. For instance, the iOS auto-correct stuff is not available. As much as people complain about it, auto-correct is very helpful and it gets better all the time.

I did not find an option to Select All so I could reformat all the text in a document. The usual iOS conventions for tap-and-hold for text editing did not seem to work, either.

I had also hoped I could upload my finished document to a Folder in Connections, but no. A Community was not an option either.

Finally I found using it on a 5s was painful. I use Evernote on the same device frequently so I know creating and editing text is definitely possible on the smaller screens.

One great thing about this app is end users won't need to configure it at all! It "just works" which is really nice.

Only works one way

I have attempted to contact IBM Support about the issue of importing files from my mobile device that are not currently on my Connections File storage to no avail receiving the response that it is not currently supported .... well, why would you implement a piece of software that doesn't completely work yet?

I guess we will see if IBM reaches out with a 1 star review, or if I just have to wait for them to do nothing... again... considering that this software isn't even on their business support service request page, I won't hold my breath.

Finally...our organization needed this in a bad way. Works great...who really needs MS Office? So many great alternatives (including this) our organization simply cannot justify the expense. Using it a lot for ad hoc note taking. Plan to do some testing with some upcoming RFPs.
