What’s New

Version 5.3

5.3 - Bug updates

+Playlist option added to include any episodes that are not in the download queue
+Setting added to disable full swipe actions. Settings tab, default actions, Full Swipe Action. Disable this to prevent the full left or right swipe on episodes/podcasts from taking action.
+New sleep timer options added, "After episode ends". This option is also available with the auto sleep timer (Settings tab, playback, sleep timer).
+When creating new playlists you now have the option of creating an empty playlist (no auto fill). This is a new playlist setting that you can disable for any of your custom playlists. The is called Auto Fill Playlist.
+You can now create a copy of an existing playlist by dragging that playlist on to the New+ button that you would normally tap to create a playlist. You can also drag individual episodes and/or podcasts on to that button to create a playlist for those items
+Keywords to include/ignore has been updated to allow for specifying keywords to ignore and include. Ignore takes precedence. Example scenario is an hourly news podcast that you specify particular hours, but also want to ignore certain days like holidays.
+Additional tip amount added to the Tip Jar under settings tab.
+Bug fix for mp3 chapters with artwork and links.
+Bug fix for app locking up while scrolling in some rare scenarios
+Bug fix for night mode themes not updating all UI elements

Simply the best....ever

First off I have to admit I bought this a long time ago by accident because I had no idea what I was doing. Back then I also had my sight and it still didn't help me see how perfect this app is when you use it properly. Now that my vision is gone this app helps me keep current with anything and everything I choose to and it is as far as I can tell perfectly built and suited to a person with vision problems. Voiceover works extremely well and it also has built in gestures that can be customized some as well. I've tried the app the Apple folks recommend for podcasts with voiceover and this app blows that one away by leaps and bounds. From the customized offsets to skip crummy intros/commercials and outro stuff to setting bookmarks or pausing on volume down. This app has it all. Love the ability to change the settings of gestures in the app and also being able to stream versus download is an absolute plus. There is truly so much for a person with OR without vision problems to be able almost completely customize and control the podcasts you subscribe to and even the ones you don't. My favorite app by far that I've ever downloaded. Please keep up the fantastic work.

Best podcast app

I’ve been happily using iCatcher for years. I tried a few other options in my early podcast-listening days, but they all ended up annoying or frustrating me in some way or another. And I recently tried to set up the Apple podcast app for my husband, and while it’s ok for someone who doesn’t listen much, it doesn’t have anything close to the flexibility this app offers. iCatcher allows me the flexibility to easily manage my 90+ podcasts. I love that I can unsubscribe to keep ones I want to try someday in the wings, or ones that might be going dormant, but I’m not sure yet and don’t want to let go just in case! And I heavily use the customizable playlists to categorize by the type of podcast as well as the level of attention I want to devote to them. Overall this app gives me all the flexibility I want and need while still being pretty simple to use. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely the Best Podcast Download Player

I'd owned this for years, with every update it keeps getting better. The best feature is the flexibility it has to subscribe to podcasts and choose whether to download (for off line playback) or stream (to save memory on videos.) Also, it allows the user to set the number of episodes to download and save. I love how it can keep and save the episodes state between devices. You can set global download settings and still able to create individual setting for specific podcasts. I sync and download every morning before going to work. Supports multiple lists with filters so I can play all downloaded podcasts or audio only, etc.

I listen quite often using the AirPod which I absolutely hate the user interface, it is a pain to control. I like the ability to control playback using the Apple Watch. This app supports the Apple Watch, it could use more improvements. It does not, as far as I can tell, the ability to control the volume or have the ability to skip the current podcast. I have to switch from this Watch app to now playing app to control the volume. Other than the Watch app, this app is great.

The best!!
