icns Editor is a really easy to use tool to create an icon to your Mac application. Easily drag&drop the image or the existing icon file to the application.
-Rotate the image
-Export every frame to PNG
-Import image to every frame in the file
-draw shadow under the image
-draw rounded corners
-stroke the rounded corners
What's New in Version 1.0.1
-Fix round border issue
-Fix export png issue
Seems like just the app I needed, and I think $2 is a fine price-point, but it doesn't work. Whenever I drop a PNG (for example, a command-shift-4 screenshot), it flashes in the application window then disappears. If I save, I get a blank file. Nothing else seems to work.
Turns out there is a better tool built into Xcode > Open Developer Tools > Icon Composer.
Irony in action
I should have known this app has problems when I purchased it and immediately noticed that this apps icon looks horrible in the Dock. Even worse on a Retina display. When this app's own author(s) can't get their own icon to look good with their own tool, how can we!
Not much to this app. I would hardly recomend even if it was free.
