Customer Reviews

An incredible tool at $30, a steal at $5

I don’t explicitly need icons for the project I’ve created them for, but they make life easier. Icon Slate’s management and workflow has made quick work of what was previously a nightmare I avoided for years.

The developer was incredibly friendly, very responsive, and knowledgeable when I recently contacted him with an issue.

With the exception of Icon Slate not supporting an older icns file format (and it's a pretty niche thing) I have zero complaints about the program and have no reservations about suggesting it to friends and colleagues.

As for icon sizes that aren’t currently supported by the application, I would suggest the user who posted the older review contact the developer directly. I can’t guarantee an outcome, but he seems to take great pride is his work and I have no doubt he would like to see any and all constructive feedback directly.

A great, reasonably priced tool for making retina favicons

As a web designer/developer, I use this app for creating favicons with multiple resolutions packed into one file in order to adapt to retina and non-retina displays. I can’t think of another tool that makes this process simpler and easier. The only thing I hope for is that full screen mode is added in a future release.

Almost the ideal app for generating icons

While this is my go-to app for generating icons, there is a missing feature that keeps me coming back to other image editors: It needs customized png icon sizing. When designing for the Web, not all icons fit in the same molds, so it would be nice to have the option to make your own.
