Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
iControl represents the best value because it saves you from buying all those little apps the only do one function on the list mentioned below. Buy one app and control your device.
iControl will enable you to time manage many tasks from a vertical drop down menu. The app allows you to control following functions all from the iController.
* Prevent your computer from sleeping
* Play iTunes songs when you want
* iTunes On / Off
* Select time to start an app
* Log out
* Pop up warnings of events
Controlling the functionality of these buttons and associating a time with them, will place you in control of your Mac. Everything in one place and super easy to use.
iLifeTouch making apps that make your life easier one day at a time.
What's New in Version 1.4
Updates on Status Bar icon
This app is all great! You simply set a timer for a period of time, for example 3 minutes until Sleep, and this app does that! You can also set timers for iTunes, AppleScripts, or Apps! Prevent Sleep is also included, but i prefer Caffeine to this app. The only thing that's not good is a menu bar icon. Usually I really want devs to add a menu bar icon, but this is the exact opposite. The menu bar icon is useless… All you can do from it is quit iControl, see all of this dev's apps, and see the iControl version number. Get rid of the menu bar icon for 5 stars!
Finally a sleep timer for my Mac
Amongst all the features of this app, I love using sleep timers the most. Just like the sleep timer on the TV, I can schedule my MacBook to shutdown after a set timer or at a set time with this app.
It is fanstastic because the user interface is simple and non intrusive. I can run a file download, set a time to shutdown and go to sleep. If I wanted to, I could even write a script to do whatever I needed at a predefined time.
This app deserves to be among the essential Mac apps.
I thought this would be a good countdown alarm to notify you when coming up on a certain event. the problem is it won't allow you to set a timer for more than 24 hours. Everything in this program has to be done within the 24 hour period. Won't set a future Date or TIme beyound the 24 hours.
